SONY WATERPROOF TABLET UNVEILS

Sony has announced that its new 10.1-inch Xperia Tablet Z will be released on May 30th.
The Japanese firm claims the new device is the world’s slimmest tablet. It measures 6.9mm thick, weighs just 495 grams and has the same water-resistant capabilities as the Sony Xperia Z smartphone.
The tablet runs Android 4.1.2 and is equipped with Qualcomm S4 Pro 1.5Ghz quad-core processor, 10.1-inch 1920x1200 touchscreen display, a 2GB RAM, 2MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing one.

“Keeping with the promise to launch the Xperia Tablet Z in Q2 2013, Sony introduced the tablet extension of its flagship Android smartphone, the Xperia Z,” the company said in a media statement this morning.
“The Xperia Tablet Z is a game-changer in terms of its design and diversity of communication and entertainment offerings,” commented Kazutoyo Araki, General Manager, IT Marketing Division, Sony Middle East and Africa.
“From Sony’s innovative One-Touch technology to a slim, durable, waterproof exterior, the Xperia Tablet Z is an exemplary Android device that will help us remain a frontrunner in the industry. We know this from the incredible success of its predecessor, the Xperia Z, features of which have been seamlessly captured in the tablet.”
Xperia Tablet Z, unveiled at Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in US, is now available for pre-order in India. Major online retailers are taking advance bookings for the device, which is scheduled to be launched early next month. Flipkart, Snapdeal and Infibeam are offering the device with 16GB storage and Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity for Rs 44,990 approximately.
