Soon after the global launch of the Nokia Lumia 925, Nokia has now slashed the price of its current flagship device in the market, the Nokia Lumia 920 . The device that was priced at Rs 38,199 when launched in January, can now be purchased for Rs 32,639 on the Nokia Shop online.

Powered by a 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, the phone also comes bundled with a free wireless charger worth Rs. 3,999. The Windows Phone 8 device has received rave reviews in the past, specifically for the camera and particularly its low-light performance. Though a bit on the bulkier side, the phone promises great performance and delivers it with ease.

SONY WATERPROOF TABLET UNVEILS

Sony has announced that its new 10.1-inch Xperia Tablet Z will be released on May 30th.
The Japanese firm claims the new device is the world’s slimmest tablet. It measures 6.9mm thick, weighs just 495 grams and has the same water-resistant capabilities as the Sony Xperia Z smartphone.
The tablet runs Android 4.1.2 and is equipped with Qualcomm S4 Pro 1.5Ghz quad-core processor, 10.1-inch 1920x1200 touchscreen display, a 2GB RAM, 2MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing one.

MICROSOFT INTRODUCED THE NEW XBOX-ONE

Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One on Tuesday, and with it comes the next generation of content for its Kinect motion control technology.

From a hardware standpoint, while everything is more powerful, little is radically different from the Xbox 360. Similar to Sony's PlayStation 4, the Xbox One has a custom-built 8-core CPU, with 8 gigabytes of RAM, a 500 gigabyte hard drive, USB 3.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and a Blu-ray drive.

GOOGLE NEXUS 4 WITH ANDROID 4.3 TO BE RELEASE ON JUN 10

Google made some major announcements during Google I/O a couple of days ago, but notably it chose not to announce a new version of Android, nor did it announce a Nexus branded device. In the lead up to Google I/O a number of white Nexus 4s were leaked, but even this was not announced.  The device however has been spotted at Google I/O according to AndroidAndMe, who also claim that the phone will be up on the Play Store on June 10 and will be exactly like its black variant. However, the interesting point is that the phone is likely to feature the all new Android 4.3 version, which is reported to get a parallel release

Soon you’ll be able to look your friends in the eye (sort of) when you log into your favorite social network with Google Glass. Google announced at the I/O conference in San Francisco that the futuristic eyewear, dubbed Glassware, will come with applications for Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Evernote, as well as publications like CNN and Elle.The glasses also offer Google services like search and maps, connect to users’ cellphones for text messaging, take photos and record video. AllFacebook The Facebook app will allow Google Glass owners to instantly share photos to their Facebook accounts.

ALL ACCESS OR SPOTIFY

Yesterday Google launched the not-so-catchily-titled Google Play Music All Access, a subscription service that basically extends Google’s existing music service to create a Spotify/Rdio-style magic jukebox, and also includes a Pandora-style, algorithm-based radio station. Like Spotify and Rdio (but unlike most of Google’s other services), it costs money — it’s $9.99 a month, or $7.99 if you start a trial before the end of June, and there’s no free option. So, is it worth it?

The Sony xperia Honami will likely become the successor of the Xperia ZL and Xperia Z. Rumors said that you could not spot the difference between the Honami and both of the current Sony’s flagships. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could catch the perfect TV viewing angle from anywhere in your living room? That idea may not be too far off, according to a newly published patent from Samsung. The filing describes a TV with a flexible display that viewers could bend by using a remote control, just like changing the channel.
In addition to adjusting the physical display, the remote control would also alter the images to fit the screen’s new positioning. The television would include a “panel deformation member” that is placed on the display’s rear to control its movements, the patent said.

GOOGLE EARTH UPDATED WITH STREET VIEW FOR ANDROID

Google Earth updated with Street View, better search and directions, new interface

See the world without ever leaving your chair, Street View has come to Google Earth.

The Google Earth application has received a major update today, and with version 7.1.1 comes a trio of great changes. The most obvious, and definitely the coolest, is that you can now zoom the whole way down to Street View to check out the world at street level. Long a staple on Google Maps for Android and the web, this is a nice addition.
Besides Street View, Google has improved the search functionality, made directions allowing you to see a 3D view of transit, walking, bike and driving directions. Another major change comes to the UI, which now offers a slide-out panel from the left side much like the Google+ app.
Google Earth has come a long way, and it's nice to see an app that can take advantage of today's high-powered phones and their processing muscle. If you've never tried it, or if it's been a while since you had a look, grab it from the Google Play link above.

One of our top music streaming apps, Spotify, released an update today that adds some very useful new features and fixes some others that make the app much more user friendly. Headlining the changes is the ability to filter and sort playlists and tracks. This will help users find just the tune they are looking for that much faster. Spotify also fixed a couple features related to your listening history. First, when returning to the playlist view the app will take you back to the same position you were in when you left that view. Second, if you leave the app entirely, when you log back in you will go right back to what you were listening to. Spotify also addressed an issue with special characters in usernames. As for the trousers option, that is a fictitious addition in this version which states the “app looks great in trousers.”

NOKIA REVEALS LUMIA 928

Nokia has all-but-confirmed its next Nokia handset with a new teaser site displaying the upcoming Lumia 928 handset

Nokia's next Lumia handset appears to be out in the open as the Finnish company has launched a new micro site showing off the phone.
Following a print advert in Vanity Fair and a dubious billboard sighting, the Nokia Lumia 928 was already on the tech radar - but this is the first proper look given to the international audience.
The site doesn't go into specifics about the workings of the new model, but we know from the Vanity Fair ad it will include PureView, a Carl Zeiss lens and optical image stabilisation.
Both the print advert and the online micro site focus on the Lumia 928's camera and Nokia seems pretty keen to push the low-light capabilities of its new creation.
